The Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA) is a non-profit organisation formed to represent the professional interests of Australian clinical psychologists with post-graduate qualifications accredited by the body appointed under the current Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act and approved by the Professional Standards and Membership Committee of ACPA. 

We regard psychologists with these qualifications as accredited clinical psychologists. ACPA represents these clinical psychologists to the public, to government bodies, to educational organisations, and to other health professionals. The intent of ACPA is to promote the highest standards within the profession, and to inform the public and other health professionals of the expertise and ethical and professional practice and expertise of its members.

THE ACPA STRUCTURE
ACPA is operated by a company limited by guarantee, the Australian Clinical Psychology Ltd. The liability of each member for the company is $10, should it be wound up. The company consists of the National Board of Directors. The National Board of Directors of the company consists of members of the Association and acts as the Committee of the Association. Members of the Association are members of the company. The Managing Director of the company is the President of the Association. This enables the Association to operate as a company with greater accountability in law.
